Review of Unbecoming exhibition in Contemporary magazine

Kefford's abject, Cronenberg-esque rejects from a genetic engineering laboratory are at once deeply disturbing and hilariously bathetic. Fashioned from papier mache, bandages, foam and tape, they bud, bleed, sprout, pupate and auto-fellate as if they were thoroughgoing biological beasts from the half-world of the subconscious - Ed Kienholz meets Philip Guston, and they drop some really bad acid together.
